JDIH Envireau are currently looking for staff in the following disciplines:

  * Abstraction Licensing

  * Hydrogeology – Water Resources and Thermogeology

  * Hydrology – Water Resources and Flood Risk Assessment

In all cases we are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are looking for new challenges and opportunities.  You may be looking to increase your career opportunities; move from under a glass ceiling; had enough of a large organisation; or be returning from a career break.  You will have a high level of technical expertise, be numerate, and be able to communicate easily orally and in writing.  You will be keen to develop yourself, the team and the business.  A full driving licence is essential.

Abstraction Licensing Specialist:

JDIH Envireau is looking for a team member to support existing staff in this key area of our business.  The successful applicant will be pivotal to the continued development of the water resources team and the successful delivery of abstraction projects across the UK.

The ideal applicant will have skills and experience covering:

  • Detailed knowledge of the EA licensing processes (groundwater & surface water)

  • Preparation of licence determination reports

  • Technical knowledge of water resource assessment

  • Technical knowledge of water resources law and regulations

The ideal applicant may have skills and experience covering:

  • Discharge consent determination

  • Compliance inspection

  • CAMS development

The candidate will need to work closely with the existing team and have a strong client-focus.  This is principally a technical role, but there will be a need to support the business development activities including the preparation of proposals and face to face marketing.

Individuals should have about 5 years experience and have gained Chartered status or be working towards.  A second degree would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Hydrogeology - Water Resources and Thermogeology:

JDIH Envireau is looking for one or more team members to support existing staff in this key area of our business.  The successful applicant will be pivotal to the continued development of the water resources and thermogeological teams and the successful delivery of abstraction and ground source heating and cooling projects across the UK.

The ideal applicant will have skills and experience covering:

  • Groundwater resource assessment

  • Groundwater resource development

  • Water related environmental impact assessment

  • Thermogeological evaluation

  • Analytical and numerical groundwater modelling

The ideal applicant may have skills and experience covering:

  • Water related permitting and licensing

  • Hydrology and flood risk

  • High level IT and modelling skills

  • GIS

The candidate will need to work closely with the existing team and have a strong client-focus.  This is principally a technical role, but there will be a need to support the business development activities including the preparation of proposals and face to face marketing.

We are looking for senior and more junior individuals with experience ranging from 2 to >10 years.  If you have more than 5 years experience we would expect that you have gained Chartered status.  A second degree would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Principal / Senior Hydrologist - Water Resources and Flood Risk Management:

JDIH Envireau (Water & Environment) Ltd is looking for a senior team member to broaden and develop our strength in this area.  The successful applicant will be pivotal to the continued development of the hydrological team and the successful delivery of hydrological projects from private and public sector clients across the UK .

The ideal applicant will have skills and experience covering:

  • Flood estimation using FEH and rainfall-runoff models

  • Hydraulic analysis using HEC - RAS

  • Low Flow Studies and assessment of surface water resources

  • Hydrometrics, including design, installation and commissioning of stream flow monitoring stations, data processing and reporting

  • Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments ( PPG 25) and Flood Consequence Assessments (TAN15)

  • Design of water management systems, winter storage reservoirs, flood control systems

  • Input to environmental assessments
